Empowerment
In spite of our limited resources, one area that M4N has tirelessly pursued is the development of self-reliant communities. When the idea of creating this organization was mooted, all members were in agreement that the prosperity of Muslim societies hinges on eliminating the dependency syndrome. In light of this background, we have been providing small scale community projects and inputs to encourage self-sustenance in local communities.
Through small scale projects, we help Sisters develop skills and train in fields that can help themselves and families in the future coming out of poverty and the dependency syndrome.
Our core areas of support include but are not limited to poultry farming, animal husbandry, market gardening, baking, cooking, handcrafts, detergent making, and dressmaking.
As part of investing in and empowering women with self-help projects, we support as well as create small scale business for women in general trade, food industry (selling of homemade cooked food, bread, butchery etc) animal husbandry ( goats, chickens, eggs ), vegetable and herb gardening, farming, crafts, amongst others.
